Many people wonder if it is worthwhile to take the time and effort to create an xml google site map, in the hopes of it improving their ranking or quality score with Google.
For most of us small business owners, we do not have access to the hosting server to put the Google software tool on to do it automatically, and some don’t know xml from an xray.
But there is hope!
There is one easy way to get your site spidered by Google quickly at least once a week. How can you ‘talk’ to Google more often?
In your free GMAIL account, there are various free tools. One of the tabs, Webmaster Tools, has a way to VERIFY your domain with Google by putting a small piece of code in the metatag on your homepage. (Look on the top left when you are logged in to gmail and choose More count if you want to see a full list of all the things Google offers for free within Gmail.
Once you get to the next screen you will see an icon that looks like a group of computers in various colors.
Once you verify your account, you will start getting great reports on what people are not only searching for, but clicking through on, the top 20 for each, and what you rank on for each of these terms as well.
It also shows all your internal and external links, pages, and most important keywords. It also shows the exact date and time since your site was last spidered.
It is a completely free tool and gives a range of traffic reports about your site, most of which you can download as CSV files.
The reports give you the knowledge of what people are REALLY searching for, and what is bringing them to your site. You can break it down per country as well, so you can see how popular your site is overseas.
They also have mobile search as well, so the kinds of reports they are adding can help you create more products that you know people are interested in. How do you know? Your weekly reports will be tellling you.
The tools and reports are all easy to use, so if you want to access them, set up a free gmail account, and go to the Webmaster Tools section. Once there, request a verification code and copy and paste the code on your homepage in the meta tag section. Follow the illustrations they will give you.
After you have pasted it, go back to the site to verify the account, and then your site profile results will start coming in. Use the data you get to see where you are in your business at the moment, and where you wish to go.
1. Let other people know that you value your time. Don’t be afraid to turn down an invitation, reschedule or say no to an assigned task if you have already scheduled something at that time.
2. If it helps, set your watch alarm to go off at the time you’re supposed to finish a task or start on a new one. You can also set your stop watch on your phone or an alert on your computer to ring when your time is up.
3. At the end of each day, review your to-do list and cross off what you have accomplished. Then look it over and create a list of to-dos for the next day in order of urgency. Include any tasks from the current day that you were not able to finish and put them at the top of the list. Review this list the next morning.
4. Before heading to sleep, prepare your items for the morning. If you have taken work home, be sure it is all safely back in your briefcase. If you have been working on a great PowerPoint presentation, be sure you have the file safely on your thumb drive or email it to yourself. If you are going to be giving it on a different computer, save it to pack and go so that it can run on any machine.
Organize your packed lunch and that of your family and then put together two or three outfits to help you choose what to wear the next day depending on your mood and the weather. Doing as much as you can to prepare the night before will cut down on stress in the morning and eliminate time wasters.
5. Reply to emails promptly. If you don’t, you might forget about them.
6. Sync your office computer or your mobile PC to your home computer. That way, you can always check on important items of work easily wherever you are.
7. Keep calls, even business ones, brief. Get straight to the point, write down action items to follow up on, and conclude promptly. Confirm the action steps via email. Then add the items to-do list.

But with a big clean out and some simple additions, your closet can be turned into a bright, well-organized space that can help you save time and store everything you need. There are plenty of closet organizers available today but you can save money by using storage cubes, hanging shoe boxes, and hanging rods.
The bathroom also tends to have hidden space that can be transformed. If the sink is simply mounted against the wall, you can add a cabinet underneath for extra storage. You can also use metal framed shelves to go over the toilet and sink, and small baskets or plastic tubs to hold all your toiletries and other essentials.
If there is any spare alcove in the house, you can create a shelving unit of a small closet or cabinet. You can also put in a small mirror cabinet, which will make the room look larger and more modern. Many of these projects are quite simple as long as you are careful with your measurements. The time and effort will be well worth it if you are better organized and can find what you and your family need more easily.
